WORKSHOPS

The workshops are psycho-educational and intended for girls from grades 8 and up. In my meetings, the girls lead with materials that they bring from their lives. I moderate, facilitate and open up discussions as well as cut them off when appropriate, but mainly, I listen. I present the content and they make the connections to their realities.

The sessions are process orientated and develop gradually as we enter into the world of the girls through interactions with cards, notes, simulations from life, presentations and circles of sharing.

If I identify a girl with a serious issue, an eating disorder, or problem in the making, I refer to the treatment staff in her area. Each session is two hours long and includes a short break if necessary.

THERE ARE THREE TYPES OF WORKSHOPS

Guest Speaker

An experienced and enriching personality from the field of modeling, styling, personal empowerment, education or communication to be hosted at one of the workshop meetings. This addition provides additional context and content opening up a window to less familiar aspects of the beauty industry and the emotional world of adolescents.

Professional Photos

Workshop sessions with a professional photographer doing photo shoots with the participants. The unique concept for the photo shoot will be an outgrowth of personal discussions between the girls and me. This concept will relate to the inner world of the girls and the ongoing development of each girl’s world view girl according to the content she has internalized from the workshop. On the day of filming, we will set up a studio equipped with all the necessary professional accessories and equipment, anywhere in the country where we meet, and every girl will get complete and undivided attention.
